From school bus to river raft transport to offbeat lodging, our 1977 Bluebird bus has found its permanent home in the mountains of western North Carolina. Adventure motorcycles and jeeps pass our location year-round as they make their way to and from the rugged trails of Hurricane Ridge (Bear Wall’r), Max Patch and Harmon’s Den. And let’s not forget the nearby Rattler—a scenic byway with over 200 curves and twisties that appeals to all 2- and 4-wheeled enthusiasts.
Why sleep in a stodgy hotel room or damp tent on your next adventure trip? Pull your bikes or jeep right up to the bus and then, next morning, directly out on the road that leads up the mountain. Mountain Vistas
The drives to nearby Hot Springs or the Blue Ridge Parkway offer some of the most amazing lookouts in western NC.
Quaint Towns
The historic towns of Waynesville and Canton are nearby, with Asheville a few more miles down the road.
AWESOME place! It’s one of those places that you’d like to tell everyone about but at the same time you want to keep it secret. Everything is super clean and organized, you’d have everything you need and more in a bus.
My boys (8, 10, and 37) won’t stop talking about it! Thank you very much, we’d love to do it again.
This Airbnb has become by far our favorite property. We felt welcomed and at home the entire time. We loved the Airbnb so much, that we didn’t want to even leave it, we were ready and excited to get back to our little home for the weekend after hiking or visiting local breweries.
This place is fantastic. The hosts are great and very friendly. The bus is well thought out as well as the living quarters. If you need something it is most likely there for the necessities. A lot of well thought out ideas and use of space. We will be back!”
